Accommodation, transport and lodging:

We offer assistance in finding comfortable accommodations near fishing locations. Choose from charming lodges, mountain retreats, or urban hotels to suit your preferences. A list of recommended accommodations with attractive ratings is available to help you choose.

Local Fishing Permits:

In Slovakia, both residents and visitors must obtain a fishing license (state rod license) and a local fishing permit to legally fish in the country's waters. If you don't have a state fishing license, we will obtain it for you. This is included in your trip pricing. Your personal details needed for this, such as name, address, date of birth, and identification number are entered in the booking form. The local fishing license(s) or daily permit(s) are specific to the area (river and section) where you will fish. These are typically obtained by authorized seller. We will arrange these for you. The price for these day permits depends on the region and river and varies from Euro 20 to Euro 45 per day.

Catch Limits:

Rivers and Lake sections in Slovakia are categorized as either Catch-and-Release or Catch-and-Take zones. In Catch-and-Take zones anglers are generally allowed to keep up to two specimens of certain fish species per day, with a total daily limit not exceeding 5 kg. Specific regulations may vary depending on the fishing area and local rules.

Fishing season:

You will be fishing on salmenoid rivers with so called trout- or grayling sections. Trout sections are openend from April 15 - October 1, grayling sections are opened from April 15 - December 31.

Equipment Requirements:

Anglers are expected to have appropriate equipment, including a measuring device for caught fish, a hook remover, landing gear, and, when fishing for predatory fish, fishing pliers. Using barbless hooks may be required in certain catch-and-release areas. If you don't have the proper equipment with you, we can provide it for you.

Environmental Responsibility:

Fishermen must not pollute fishing spots and are prohibited from discarding fish remains into the water or leaving them at the fishing site. Additionally, caught fish that are not to be kept must be released back into the water promptly and with care.
